Insanity as told by Unknown

“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.”

Most people attribute this quote to Albert Einstein. I almost did, but thought I’d better look it up to be sure.  Forty-five minutes later and I’m swimming in Quora, reading the answers to questions like:

“How do men really feel about silicone implants?”

“What’s up with the flat earth notion gaining popularity?”

“Can I see a picture you drew?”

And, my now-favorite:

“What are some ‘cruel’ facts in nature, such as a deer eating baby birds given a chance?”

Because, seriously? Wtf…deer eating baby birds??  I’ve never heard of that before and the answers I read didn’t even address the deer.  Forget those pictures and what men think about boobs!  I read about the evil side of otters and the dirty little secrets of lions and even parasitism in fish, not to mention, an argument concerning abortion.  You never really know what you’ll find when going through the comments.

All that for a post that introduced myself.  Hi, I’m Erica!  I’m prone to digression and rambling if you couldn’t tell. I’m a Virgo (for those of you that think Astrology is real), I don’t like long walks on the beach (mostly because of jellyfish), I prefer hot coffee and cold tea (southern ice tea please, half sweet though), and I utilize ellipses whenever I can.

This is the latest out of a dozen times that I’ve tried to start blogging.  When I first started, I wanted this to be a blog about writing: what I was writing, my struggles in writing, my whining about writing and occasionally what I was reading.  I like to think that I’ve grown a lot since my first time(s) blogging.  I want this to be where I can just talk about whatever I feel like talking about.  Books and writing, movies, TV shows, life, and opinions/thoughts on whatever, with the occasional passage of whatever WIP I’m working on. Hopefully, I’ll make you laugh and also open up the comments for healthy discussion.

Thanks for reading this far! Please introduce yourself, I’d love to get to know you!
